Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH advises institutional investors, AIFMs (alternative investment fund managers) and asset management companies on investments in the field of renewable energy. The team acts in an advisory and intermediary capacity for vehicles that are owned by the respective renewable-energy power plants (operating companies).

Investment advice and investment brokerage services for operating companies

Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH advises operating companies on interest rate hedging via derivatives and on PPAs (power purchase agreements) for selling electricity where these class as financial derivatives.

Financial portfolio management for AIFMs / asset management companies

Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH is authorised to manage AIF portfolios on behalf of AIFMs (alternative investment fund managers) and asset management companies.

About us

Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH is a securities and investment business and a 100% subsidiary of Encavis Asset Management AG. Both companies belong to the Encavis Corporation and are subsidiaries of Encavis AG. Encavis AG is an company that trades on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The core focus of the company is on acquiring and operating solar parks and onshore wind farms. By generating electricity from renewable sources, the Encavis Group plays a major role in creating a clean and sustainable energy supply for future generations. As a securities and investment business, Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH is regulated by BaFin and offers its clients advisory, intermediary and administrative services that are subject to approval. Besides analysing and inspecting the technical and financial aspects of renewable energy power plants, we also take care of the holdings and corporate structures of the companies behind the power plants in question. Further, we help our corporate customers to optimise their financial structures and PPAs.

Sustainability risks

According to ‘Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 of the European Parliament [...] on sustainability‐related disclosures in the financial services sector’, Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH is required as an investment adviser to publish certain information on its website. For example, we have a legal obligation to disclose the manner in which sustainability risks are integrated into our investment advice. Further, our remuneration policies must include information on how these policies are consistent with the integration of sustainability risks. In the words of the above directive, a “sustainability risk” means an environmental, social or governance event or condition that, if it occurs, could cause an actual or a potential material negative impact on the value of the investment as well as on the company’s reputation. The remuneration policies established by Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH are designed to create meaningful performance incentives for executives and employees while simultaneously avoiding conflicts of interest that might have an adverse impact on the customer’s interests. Trading venue and best execution

Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH trades OTC (over-the-counter). This is a direct trade between seller and buyer on the capital market. As such, Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH does not have a fixed trading venue. For this reason, no information is published on this website regarding trading venues or best execution.

Engagement policy, engagement report and voting behaviour

If an asset manager invests, on behalf of their client, in shares that are traded on a regulated market, the asset manager is legally required to describe their engagement in the investee companies and disclose how shareholder rights are exercised. Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH does not act as an asset manager in the sense that it invests, on behalf of their client, in shares that are traded on a regulated market. Hence it is not legally required to disclose information on its engagement policy, or publish an engagement report, or disclose how shareholder rights are exercised.
